8 Austrian soldiers injured in UNIFIL mission: defense ministry

VIENNA, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) — Eight Austrian soldiers from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) were slightly injured by a rocket strike on Camp Naqoura around Tuesday noon, with none in serious condition, Austria’s defense ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry said in a statement that it is currently impossible to confirm where the attack came from.
Austria’s defense minister Klaudia Tanner condemned the attack in the “strongest possible terms” and demanded an immediate investigation into the incident.
Tanner called on all sides to ensure the safety of all UN peacekeepers. ■
